Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and company name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use SalesBadger, including features accessed, AI credits consumed, and actions taken within the extension and website dashboard.

User-Created Content: Templates, sales records, and preferences you create are stored to your account so they are available across sessions.

Support Communications: If you contact us, we retain your messages and any information you provide so we can respond effectively.

2. What We Do Not Collect

SalesBadger does not store any leads, customer information, or CRM data on our servers. Any data you interact with through the Chrome extension remains local to your browser and is never transmitted to or retained by us.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Authenticate your account and manage your subscription
  • Deliver and improve product features (message generation, templates, sales tracking)
  • Track usage to enforce plan limits and display usage statistics
  • Provide customer support
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored securely with row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data. The Chrome extension stores preferences locally in your browser. We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our services.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Usage statistics are retained on a rolling basis. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).

6. Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can also:

  • Update your profile information from the Settings page
  • Request account deletion via Settings or by emailing support
  • Clear locally stored extension data through your browser settings

7. Cookies

The SalesBadger website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. The Chrome extension uses browser local storage, not cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

SalesBadger is designed for professional use and is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the product. Your continued use of SalesBadger after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
